Sub-folders for Patients - Transactions   Return to Archive

There two sub-folders under Patients specific to listing patient transactions.  One is Transactions YTD and the other is Transactions Last Year.  There is no folder for listing all of the transactions as this list could be VERY long and would be difficult to manage in any way.  By default each of these lists group the transactions by user (who entered them), doctor, and type (charge, payment, credit, debit).  Each line item includes at least the following columns of data:  Patient Number, Amount, Procedure/Explanation, DOS, Patient Name, Phones, Transaction type, Doctor, Quarter, Year, Month, Transaction #, and POS.  Some of the items may be hidden but can be easily revealed using the right click Show Fields options. Below is a typical view for Transactions Last Year.

The group headers always give a count for the number of items in the group.  The footers, depending upon how the items are grouped, usually give a total for the transaction amount in each grouping.

There are many possibilities for this list.  A report could be easily generated listing the transactions grouped by doctor, procedure, and month such that an analysis could be completed detailing the procedures that are performed most frequently and which provided the greatest financial return.  Plus you could see any seasonal changes, etc.

By simply changing the grouping and sorting parameters the report can easily be customized to return other pertinent information regarding the transactions, office practices, user activity, doctor statistics, etc.
