MedLook Weekly Tip For 02/14/2005Making An Eye Catching Comment In A Patient's Account Return to ArchiveOften times you may want a warning or some special eye catching note to display when you open a patient's account. The Summary screen is designed with this in mind so you can customize it just to suite your needs. Probably the best way to identify some special patient information is to enter it in the patients 'comment' field on the Patient Edit dialog. Display the Summary screen and simply put the following text somewhere very noticeable in the template (edit the template using Ctrl+F5, refer to the tip from 05/31/2004 for more details): Note: [Note] You can highlight this text and use the Format Font option (in MS Word) to change the text font, size, and color. Simply making the text red makes it very visible and easy for every user to notice at a quick glance. Save the file and refresh the display (Ctrl+R). You should see the text as: Note: allergic to xx medicine In MedLook 2.0 the comment is limited to 24 characters. In 3.0 it has been expanded to 80 characters.
