MedLook Weekly Tip For 02/02/2007

Sub-folders for Patients - Patient Status, Auto-Billing, & Recall Dates   Return to Archive

The Patient sub-folders include folders for showing patients by Patient Status, Auto-Billing, and Recall Dates.  The Patient Status list shows all patients grouped by their patient status field.  The default fields are Active and InActive. Each line item contains the basic patient information plus the patient's status. In the Tools->Options menu additional patient status fields can be defined. This list could be particularly useful if such status fields as "In Collection" were created and used. For more information regarding the use of Patient Status refer to the tips from 11/21/2005 and 02/25/2006.

The Auto-Billing sub-folder lists all of the patients grouped by their Auto-Billing field. For more information on Auto-Billing see the tips from 03/08/2004 and 02/25/2006. This folder is useful in quickly determining why statements are not being generated for some patients.

The Recall Dates sub-folder lists all of the patients that have a recall date entered into their account for a future time. For more information regarding Recall Dates see the tip from 01/24/2005. This folder can be useful for calling those patients who are less than one month away from their recall date and have not contacted the office for an appointment.
