Patient Batch Billing - Preprinted Forms   Return to Archive

MedLook supports a pre-printed patient statement format for printing patient bills. The form can be purchased from a number of sources (IBG, Safeguard). The advantage of purchasing preprinted forms is a big savings in ink/toner and possibly an overall cost benefit.

If you purchase preprinted forms and have more than one doctor then you would want to check the 'Pause Printing Between Doctors' option so you can change the paper to set the appropriate letter head for each doctor. This is a disadvantage of preprinted forms.

Using blank paper and allowing MedLook to print the data and form will increase the usage of your ink/toner, but it leaves you completely flexible for the printer itself.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both methods. Using preprinted forms you run the chance of loading the printer with your forms only to return to find somebody else's reports printed on your forms and your statements on blank paper.

No matter if you use preprinted or blank paper you're still faced with the sometimes daunting task of folding, stuffing, sealing, and stamping envelops. The alternative is to outsource your patient statements electronically just like you do your insurance claims.
