MedLook Weekly Tip For 01/13/2006Patient Batch Billing - Include/Exclude Charges Return to ArchiveOne feature new to MedLook 3.0 is the ability to Exclude Closed Charges. For instance, if you had a patient visit during the month and they completely paid for their visit while there then using this option you would prevent the charge from printing. If it's closed, regardless of the itemization date you may not want to print it. Another feature is the option to Include All Open Charges. In this situation you may have a patient who is paying $20/month on a large charge from several years ago. Obviously you don't want a complete itemization over the past several years (particularly not for all patients). Still, it's confusing to a patient to see a large balance forward and no explanation to accompany it. Using this feature any open charges that were entered prior to the itemization date will be printed. This makes it less confusing for the client to understand the bill particularly if you also show the Charge Receipts. Email Us Any questions, comments, or suggestions are welcome. |
