MedLook 3.0 Setup Kit: File Size: 38M (05/02s/2008) Use this download on computers that will be installing MedLook for the first time. It contains the MedLook setup, Help setup, manual setup, and Visual FoxPro database drivers. It does not contain XML Notepad (below) or the tutorials. This program is a setup of setups.
XMLNotepad.exe File Size: 335K A free utility from Microsoft used for editing the layout files in MedLook.
Additional Downloads See this page for other file downloads. (Main setup components, readme file, manual, etc.) Note that main setup components should not be necessary for customers with MedLook already installed. These files may be needed if your computer's hard drive is replaced or a new computer is purchased.
Download and Installation Instructions:
1. To download an update click on the appropriate link above.
2. When asked to run or save the file, choose to save it to a folder on your hard drive. Desktop is fine. XP Users: If an older update file already exists, delete it before downloading the latest file. XP may not overwrite the existing file even if you tell it to.
3. Important Step - Close any open programs and disable any resident anti-virus software.
4. Run the update from the location you saved it to in step 2 by double clicking the MedLook_Setup.exe file icon. (MedLookSetupKit.exe if you downloaded MedLook Solo)
5. Click the "No Questions Asked Installation" button and follow the on-screen prompts to install the update.
6. Once installation is complete, run MedLook and click Help, About. At the top of the About dialog you should see the latest version number. If the number is different, close MedLook and un-install the program by clicking on Start, All Programs, MedLook, Remove MedLook 3.0. Then, reinstall MedLook normally.
Follow the same instructions for the Help System
NOTE: You may be required to exit and re-run Medlook multiple times to complete any database upgrades.
Once you've completed the installation you can delete the setup files.
