MedLook version 4.0

MedLook 3.0 development is nearly complete. Only one more release of MedLook 3.0 is expected. MedLook 4.0 development is about to be underway. Some of the new features and enhancements expected in version 4 include:

  • RxWriter - Prescriptions
  • Improved Notes (macros, templates, dated, searchable),
  • File management (track patient files such as scans of driver license, insurance card, x-rays, dictation)
  • Insurance History (ability to keep old patient insurance information AND to be able to re-bill claims to it)
  • More fields (e.g. phone number for referrals, etc.)
  • Chart Number (alphanumeric patient chart number)
  • Code categories (for CPT & ICD codes)
  • Complete employer data
  • Deposits (similar to Payments, but spans patients)
  • Groups (add patients to a group and bill all with the same codes aimed towards group therapy sessions)
  • Waiting list
  • More audit trail information
  • More detailed security (passwording for each section and rights)
  • Improved insurance claim tracking
  • Global edits (e.g. change many insurance carriers to Electronic claims in one edit)
  • Automatic posting of payments via the HIPAA 835 file
  • Dental (MedLook but slanted for dental offices)
